A meeting a day... keeps NCR's away

continual improvement

Conducting a daily ten-minute meeting with direct hire employees sustains moral, improves productivity, encourages communication and information, provides a direction for production and flourishes teamwork. That’s a lot of enhancements. Did I mention it promotes safety?
Conduct this meeting stand up style at the beginning of the shift. Pick different topics each day to discuss but always use the last minutes to direct and inform about priority jobs and who is to facilitate them during the shift, then end with a moral boosting pep talk… Go Team!
So, what about reducing NCR’s? Where is this benefit? Error reduction is a side effect that naturally improves by helping workers start with their mind in the game. Letting employees know, it’s time to set homework, girlfriends and football aside. Pick it up again when the  shift buzzer rings.
